According to Deadline, Marvel Studios has big plans for Mephisto in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). During a recent press event, Marvel chief Kevin Feige reportedly hinted that Mephisto will become a significant figure as the franchise’s next major villain.

The character made his first appearance in the finale of the Ironheart miniseries, portrayed by Sacha Baron Cohen. The actor has since revealed his intense physical transformation for the role, sharing photos that showcase his impressive new physique.

In an interview highlighted by Men’s Fitness, Cohen explained that he worked closely with a personal trainer and chefs to achieve his look, even joking that he turned to Ozempic as part of the process. The 53-year-old quipped that preparing for Mephisto helped him deal with a midlife crisis.

While Marvel has not disclosed when Mephisto will return, fans can expect the character to play a pivotal role in upcoming MCU projects.
