Disney and Pixar have released the first trailer for Hoppers, an upcoming animated action-comedy set to hit theaters on March 6, 2026. Directed by Daniel Chong, the film promises a high-energy story packed with humor, heart, and a bold new concept that explores what it would be like to truly communicate with animals.
At the center of Hoppers is Mabel, voiced by Piper Curda, an enthusiastic animal lover who seizes the chance to test groundbreaking technology that enables humans to “hop” their consciousness into lifelike robotic animals. This revolutionary invention allows people to experience the animal world firsthand — as animals themselves.
“In Hoppers, the question we’re answering is: ‘What if we could understand and communicate with the animal world?’” said director Daniel Chong. “Mabel’s journey into the animal kingdom is weird, hilarious, and full of surprises. It’s everything you expect from a Pixar film — fun, heartfelt, and perfect for the big screen.”
The film promises a wild ride as Mabel navigates the challenges of life undercover in the animal world, uncovering secrets that could change everything. Alongside Curda, the voice cast includes Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm, with production handled by Nicole Paradis Grindle.
With its inventive premise and signature Pixar storytelling, Hoppers looks set to deliver a fresh mix of comedy, adventure, and emotion when it leaps into theaters in 2026.
