Elon Musk’s AI chatbot Grok has rolled out a new feature designed to boost engagement and personalization: AI companions. Currently in soft launch, the feature allows users to interact with customizable 3D animated characters, including a goth-themed anime girl named Ani and a sarcastic red panda called Bad Rudy.

Musk shared a preview on X, posting an image of Ani — a blonde anime-style character wearing a black corset, thigh-high fishnets, and a short dress — writing, “This is pretty cool.”

According to Musk, the AI companions will soon be easier to activate for Super AI subscribers, signaling that the feature is aimed at premium users. What Is Grok?
