If you thought you’d seen it all in Baldur’s Gate 3, think again — Larian Studios has just dropped a jaw-dropping set of stats revealing exactly how weird, wonderful, and downright hardcore the community has been over the past year. From heroic feats to drunken brawls, here’s what the numbers say about the state of the game — and its players — in 2025.
Let’s start with the big one: 265 million mod downloads across all platforms. With over 8,500 mods uploaded, BG3 has become one of the most creatively modded RPGs around — and that’s before official mod support fully rolls out with Patch 7. Whether it’s new subclasses, UI tweaks, or… unmentionable outfit changes, players are reshaping the Forgotten Realms one download at a time.

Not all heroes wear armor. Some bring violins.
Apparently, almost half a million players thought it would be fun to complete the brutally unforgiving Honour Mode. That’s up 314,090 traumatised souls from last year.
But wait — it gets better (or worse?):

Out of all companions, Shadowheart leads with nearly 4.9 million campaigns. She’s followed by Wyll (1.4M) and Gale (684K).
And speaking of Wyll: 598 players adopted a child with him. That’s either adorable or terrifying. Or both.

And finally, 446,718 players have used cross-play to connect across platforms. Whether you’re on PC, PS5, or Xbox — the Weave unites all.
Whether you’re romancing vampires, beating Honour Mode half-naked, or turning Wyll into a dad of the year, Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to inspire the kind of dedication and chaos that only the greatest RPGs can. Here’s to whatever wild stats come next.
