Naked Honour Runs, Drunken Brawlers, and 598 Adopted Kids: Baldur’s Gate 3 By the Numbers

Share your love

If you thought you’d seen it all in Baldur’s Gate 3, think again — Larian Studios has just dropped a jaw-dropping set of stats revealing exactly how weird, wonderful, and downright hardcore the community has been over the past year. From heroic feats to drunken brawls, here’s what the numbers say about the state of the game — and its players — in 2025.

Modding Madness: 265 Million Downloads and Counting

Let’s start with the big one: 265 million mod downloads across all platforms. With over 8,500 mods uploaded, BG3 has become one of the most creatively modded RPGs around — and that’s before official mod support fully rolls out with Patch 7. Whether it’s new subclasses, UI tweaks, or… unmentionable outfit changes, players are reshaping the Forgotten Realms one download at a time.

Only 350 Players Did What to Minsc?! Baldur’s Gate 3 Stats Reveal Absolute Chaos

Rare Achievements: The Bards, the Drunks, and the Overachievers

Not all heroes wear armor. Some bring violins.

  • Only 1.82% of players managed to earn 100 gold from playing music.
  • 2.07% defeated 20 enemies while completely wasted.
  • 2.30% multiclassed through every class without asking Withers for help. That’s some serious commitment (and probably a few hundred hours).

Honour Mode: You People Are Maniacs

Apparently, almost half a million players thought it would be fun to complete the brutally unforgiving Honour Mode. That’s up 314,090 traumatised souls from last year.

But wait — it gets better (or worse?):

  • 4,647 players completed Honour Mode using a Level 1 character.
  • 31,180 beat it as a Jack of All Trades multiclass.
265 Million Mods, 4,647 Honour Mode Champions, and the Wildest RPG Community Stats You’ve Ever Seen

Achievements You Didn’t Know Existed (But Absolutely Love)

  • 8.21% of players used an enemy as a weapon against another enemy.
  • 2.65% managed to rescue Sazza three times in one playthrough. She cannot be caged!
  • 5% saved all tiefling refugees (heroes).
  • 6.24% knocked a dragon from the sky — mid-flight.
Shadowheart Rules, Astarion Swaps Classes, and Someone Respec’d Minsc Into a Death Cleric: Baldur’s Gate 3 By the Numbers

Shadowheart Reigns Supreme — And Wyll Got 598 Kids

Out of all companions, Shadowheart leads with nearly 4.9 million campaigns. She’s followed by Wyll (1.4M) and Gale (684K).

And speaking of Wyll: 598 players adopted a child with him. That’s either adorable or terrifying. Or both.

Subclass Respec Shenanigans: Gale Goes Dragon, Astarion Goes Hexblade

  • Gale gets respec’d into Draconic Bloodline Sorcerer the most.
  • Karlach is a fan favorite for Vengeance Paladin.
  • Wyll? A whopping 333,403 players turned him into a Hexblade Warlock.
  • Even Minsc wasn’t safe — 350 players respec’d him into a Death Domain Cleric.

Crossplay Brings Realms Together

And finally, 446,718 players have used cross-play to connect across platforms. Whether you’re on PC, PS5, or Xbox — the Weave unites all.

This Community Is Unhinged (In the Best Way Possible)

Whether you’re romancing vampires, beating Honour Mode half-naked, or turning Wyll into a dad of the year, Baldur’s Gate 3 continues to inspire the kind of dedication and chaos that only the greatest RPGs can. Here’s to whatever wild stats come next.
