Season 2 of Wednesday is off to a spectacular start. According to Variety, the latest chapter of Netflix’s hit series drew 50 million views in its first five days – a figure almost identical to Season 1’s launch back in November 2022.
Back then, Netflix measured popularity in hours watched, and the first season clocked 341.1 million hours over the same period. With a runtime of 6 hours and 49 minutes, that works out to roughly 50.1 million views – nearly a perfect match for Season 2’s debut.

There’s one key difference, though: Season 1 dropped all eight episodes at once, while Season 2 kicked off with only four episodes, with the rest set to arrive on September 3.
Fans seem pleased with what they’ve seen so far. On IMDb, the first four episodes hold viewer scores of 7.7/10 or higher, with Episode 4 earning the top spot at 8.4/10.
Wednesday remains Netflix’s most popular English-language series ever and still holds the #2 spot among all shows on the platform, beaten only by Squid Game Season 1.
Looks like the Addams charm hasn’t worn off one bit.
