77th Emmy Awards Nominations: Severance, The Penguin, and The Last of Us Dominate 2025 Race

The Television Academy has revealed the nominations for the 77th Emmy Awards, setting the stage for a star-studded showdown this September.

Apple TV+ drama Severance dominates the pack with 27 nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, directing, and casting categories. Not far behind are The Penguin (24), The White Lotus (23), and HBO’s The Last of Us with 16 nods, ensuring fierce competition in the drama arena.

Comedy categories promise their own fireworks. Apple’s The Studio, led by Seth Rogen, scored 23 nominations, while FX’s The Bear continues its awards streak with 13, competing against Hacks (14) and Shrinking (9).

Hollywood veteran Harrison Ford earned his first-ever Emmy nomination at 83 for Shrinking, joining a stacked supporting actor lineup. Meanwhile, major snubs include Kathryn Hahn missing for Agatha All Along and Squid Game landing zero nominations.
