Production has officially begun on HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter television series at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, UK. Alongside the announcement, the studio released a first official image, giving fans an early glimpse into the reimagined world of Hogwarts.
The series is set to premiere in 2027 on HBO and Max, including in new rollout markets such as Germany, Italy, and the UK.
Newly confirmed cast includes Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander.

The project brings together an acclaimed creative team led by Francesca Gardiner (writer and executive producer) and Mark Mylod (executive producer and director), with support from J.K. Rowling and original Harry Potter film producer David Heyman.
With principal photography now underway, HBO’s adaptation promises a decade-long, faithful retelling of the Wizarding World — with a fresh cast and expanded depth for a new generation of viewers.
