Netflix has released The Thursday Murder Club, a new mystery film directed by Chris Columbus, best known for Home Alone and the first two Harry Potter movies. The film premiered on August 28 and is already receiving its first wave of reviews.

Based on the bestselling 2020 novel by British author Richard Osman, the story follows a group of retirees who spend their free time investigating unsolved crimes. Their hobby takes a serious turn when they suddenly find themselves entangled in a new and particularly complex murder case.
